***NOTICE - REGISTRATION FOR THE 2025 CLASS IS NOW OPEN!

The Citizen’s Constable Academy is a FREE up to 12-week program designed to provide the public with a working knowledge of the Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office, local law enforcement and county government. Each session consists of weekly classes that meet in the DPS/Driver’s License Building (OLD JP. 4 courthouse) or the NEW JP4 Courtroom. The instruction is comprehensive, engaging, and absolutely entertaining. 

The next class starts early to mid February 2025

We’ll meet each THURSDAY from 6p-9p. - Constable Hayden allows 2 absences to still be able to graduate from the class. If you cannot attend most of the classes, please do not sign up as there are very limited spots.

Course topics can include:

  1. Patrol/Traffic Stops

  2. Civil Service

  3. Life of a Deputy

  4. SRT/SRG

  5. Water Rescue

  6. JP Court/Baliff

  7. Reserve

  8. Asset Forfeiture

  9. Neighborhood Watch

  10. Narcotics

  11. K9

  12. Shoot/Don't Shoot Exercises

  13. Crime Scene Practical

  14. Surrounding Law Enforcement Agencies

The slogan of the Citizens Constable Academy is, “Understanding through Education.”  The goal is to educate the public about the Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office, and associated county offices and to increase the rapport between citizens and law enforcement.

We hope the Citizens Constable Academy graduates become more aware and better informed about how law enforcement operates and will encourage friends, coworkers and families to join the Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office in this rewarding program.

The qualifications to attend the Citizens Constable Academy are:

  1. Must be 18 years of age

  2. Must be a resident of Montgomery County or work in Montgomery County

  3. Must pass a background check and not have been convicted of any felony crimes

At graduation, you will have an opportunity to join our amazing Citizen’s Constable Academy Alumni Association!

Note: This is NOT a peace officer/law enforcement academy, and upon completion, you will NOT become a peace officer.
