Summer Youth Leadership & Life Skills Program

The Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office is proud to introduce Rowdy’s Youth Academy, a one-week, FREE, summer youth leadership and life skills program for students ages 13–17 in East Montgomery County. This academy is designed to give local youth a positive, hands-on experience that combines law enforcement exposure, leadership development, practical life skills, and career exploration. Students will have the opportunity to interact with deputies, learn about public safety, meet local business leaders, and gain real-world knowledge they can carry with them into adulthood.

July 20-23, 2026 - 9am - 4pm

Pickup/Drop-off will be at our office each day.

Program Highlights:

Participants will receive exposure to:

Law enforcement academy-style activities
Patrol, traffic safety, and public service
Leadership, teamwork, discipline, and respect
Community service and positive mentorship
Drone, K9, mounted patrol, or other specialty team demonstrations, when available

Life Skills & Trade Exposure:

Rowdy’s Youth Academy will also introduce students to practical skills and possible career paths through hands-on demonstrations and local business partnerships.

Possible areas of instruction include:

Basic electrical skills
Basic plumbing skills
Automotive skills
Welding skills
Cooking skills
Trade and career exposure

Community Partnership:

Local East Montgomery County businesses will be invited to partner with the academy by hosting demonstrations, sharing career knowledge, and teaching practical skills. This partnership gives students the chance to meet positive role models while learning about trades, careers, and opportunities available right here in our community.

Introduce students to local trades and careers
Strengthen community pride and leadership
Create positive relationships between students, families, deputies, and local businesses

The qualifications to attend Rowdy’s Youth Academy are:

  1. Must be 13-17 years of age.

  2. Must live in our precinct. To verify, please search your address here: https://tinyurl.com/whatareadoilive

  3. Kids must be enrolled in a public or private school or be homeschooled AND be in good standing, including not currently serving any punishments.

  4. Must participate in each day of class. Only ONE absence is allowed.

    1. We have a VERY limited number of spaces in the academy. If you know your child is unable to attend the entire 4 days, please let that space be used by another child.

If you would like your child to attend Rowdy’s Youth Academy, please fill out the form below.  You will also be required to fill out authorization and release waivers that will be emailed to you or available at our office. We will bus the kids to local businesses for the “life lessons” experiences. We are hoping to have lunch sponsors, but unless advised, your child will need to bring a sack lunch each day.
